Harvey has owned and operated newspapers, a securities broker/dealer firm, an investment advisory firm, a financial planning company, a real estate syndication and management company, and a mutual fund.
He is a Certified Professional Consultant and a Certified Financial Planner. He has authored two books: How To Buy A Business With Little or No Cash Down! and How To Evaluate Business Opportunities.
He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and business administration at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and has continued his education at the College for Financial Planning, University of Notre Dame Law School, the Purdue University Graduate School of Business, and the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
